Dale Sauls-Associate Pastor/Minister of Education
As a poor ole country boy growing up in Mississippi, I never dreamed God would one day call me into the ministry. Due primarily to the influence of my godly mother and an aunt who took us to church, I was saved and baptized at the age of 10 and later ordained as a deacon at the age of 19. While working as an accounting supervisor as a young adult, I sensed God calling me to full-time Christian service. After graduating from East Texas Baptist College and New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary, I served a church in Mississippi prior to being called to First, Blanchard almost 30 years ago.
Here I met and married my awesome wife, Penny, and God has blessed me with a wonderful daughter and son-in-law (Candace & Kenny) as well as two precious grandchildren (Sophie & Saxton). What a blessing it has been to serve such a wonderful church and to encourage believers to grow through the study of God’s Word and to use their spiritual gifts in His service! It’s great to be a part of the amazing ministerial team that God has put together here, and I look forward to what God is going to do in the years ahead!
